HISTORY

Rabin Mukherjee College, formerly Behala College of Commerce was established in 1967 at Parnasree, Behala, Kolkata-700060. In the year 2005 Behala College of Commerce was renamed as Rabin mukherjee College after the name of Sri Rabin Mukherjee, a revered leader of democratic movements and a former Cabinet Minister of the Government of West Bengal and also the former President of the Governing Body of our college.

At its outset, this college was purely a commerce college but later the Arts department was also inserted along with commerce department, affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The college has got accredited by the NAAC in 2016.The college has stepped into its 50th year of journey in 2017.

With the demand of our students, the college has introduced Computer education programme for the students of both Arts and Commerce at very nominal prices so that every student can take part in this course.
